Feeding the hungry and giving nutrition with Gawad Kalinga

My friends tied-up with Gawad Kalinga (GK) for an advocacy project to give back to the community. They are giving gift of nutrition to more than 1000 underprivileged kids and families. Their drive is different from typical feeding programs as it addresses not just hunger, but proper nutrition and healthy meals for all.

They are serving VITAMEAL, a scientifically-formulated meal that rebuilds proper nutrition for the malnourished child. Vitameal has been used to fight malnutrition in Africa and other 3rd world countries for more than 20 years.

The program aims to sustain the healthy meal supply for the next six months in the adopted communities of GK. They launched this program successfully last December 2015 and they are currently sourcing out donors for the kids for their six month nutrition program.

You can support our cause by sponsoring a family:
5 Vitameal bags = 1 family for a month

You can also do so by supporting a child:
2 Vitameal bags = 2 months supply for a child

If you or your family would want to donate 50 bags, the feeding drive can be named after you and we may also do the drive in the area of your choice.

Was just wondering if you and your family would want to be part of this? They are currently sourcing out donors for the program and for any inquiries, if you want to help out, volunteer, support or donate, you can send an email to one of their coordinators, Justin Gatmaitan, thru justin.gatmaitan@gmail.com.
