Man Up: Protect Yourself and Take the FREE HIV Test on November 29, 2014

Manliness is defined by imaging the body; it is the carnal vehicle of desire. Most of the time, we sexually associate the body as healthy, fit and good to look at, defining the epic proportion of men. But how do we really know we’re healthy if there are dangers lurking in the dark?

HIV or Human Immuno-deficiency Virus is one of the most alarming silent killers, especially amongst the LGBT community. How do we protect ourselves from it? The answer is simple; by timely testing and treatment. Most of the MSMs (Male having sex with other males) practice a very unhealthy sexual lifestyle.

Magsaysay Foundation to hold free teachers’ training on September 1, 2012

This year’s Ramon Magsaysay Festival Month is particularly significant because it commemorates the 105th birth anniversary of President Ramon Magsaysay. To mark the occasion, the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation will hold a one-day free teachers’ training on September 1, 2012 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Ramon Magsaysay Center, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

The foundation invites teachers to attend the free training, which will focus on creative methods for teaching values such as compassion, integrity, fairness, generosity, industry, simplicity, tolerance, to students of any age using the inspiring story of President Magsaysay and the more than 200 Ramon Magsaysay Awardees.

RMAF has invited 2012 Magsaysay awardee Dr. Romulo Davide, himself an educator, to speak during the training. He will share inspiring thoughts, principles, and personal anecdotes with the teachers and how all these had shaped his experience and understanding of education.
