Green the World @ My Campus: Energy Efficiency Challenge 2010

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, has launched its 1st Energy Efficiency Challenge in the Philippines last August 23, 2010.

Schneider Electric's Energy Efficiency Challenge is a competition designed to inspire engineering students, public or private universities in the Philippines by challenging them to develop creative and innovative proposals that solve practical energy usage problems.  This year's theme:  "Green the World @ My Campus," tasks students with finding enegy-efficient solutions that can be implemented on their own campus.

This exciting learning opportunity is open to all students in Engineering.  The top 5 contestants will be trained on Schneider Electric's energy efficiency solutions and most importantly, gain exposure to real-life scenarios that can be applied to their campus.

Attractive prizes await the winning teams, as the top three will receive prized valued at Php75,000, Php50,000 and Php35,000 respectively, plus thropies and Certificates of Honour.

Two (2) to four (4) member teams registered online from August 23-September 22, 2010 and they submitted their proposal on or before September 22, 2010 at www.schneider-electric.com.ph.  No expenses were required from the students or the universities, just their desire to work collaboratively to submit ideas on achieving energy efficiency at their campus.
